Loose Car Leads To 4th Place Finish

The 2008 opening day at Holland Speedway started off good for the Shepker Racing team. Justin was able to take off from John Price to win the first heat of the Pro Modifieds Saturday evening. Mike Fiebelkorn Jr took the win in the second heat. Eleven cars showed up for opening night with ten starting as Bobby Holmes had engine trouble. Justin started 4th in the feature with Neil Hopkins, John Price and Chuck Anderson battling for the lead early off in the feature. Justin got to second on lap 24 with Anderson leading, as Justin made the move for the lead on lap 29 the car got loose and he made contact with Anderson taking both cars out and Hopkins re-gained the lead. Neil Hopkins lead the final 11 laps and took the lead with Price finishing 2nd and Fiebelkorn finishing 3rd. Justin was able to get back up to 4th at the finish.
